The Sonnenalp Hotel in Vail has been voted by USA Today readers as the No. 3 Best Destination Resort in this year's 10 Best Awards, and Park Hyatt Beaver Creek rounded out the top 10.

A panel of experts partnered with 10 Best editors to pick the initial 20 nominees, and the top 10 winners were determined by popular vote.

Each resort is described as a "complete vacation in a single package" taking into account accommodations, dining, spa treatments as well as indoor and outdoor activities.

"Sonnenalp Hotel is thrilled to have been voted the No. 3 Best Destination Resort in the country by USA Today readers.
