What else to do in Vail this weekend
There’s plenty to do in the Vail Valley this weekend between the Jazz Party, Gourmet on Gore and Beaver Creek’s Oktoberfest — but if those aren’t your cup of tea (or your mug of beer, if you will), then here are other fun activities to enjoy in Vail this weekend:
CineBistro at Solaris
With some popular movies currently playing, cozying up and catching a flick is never out of the question. CineBistro at Solaris offers patrons the opportunity to grab a bite before, during or after their movie, as well as a drink or two. The best part: Cinebistro will validate your parking.
Betty Ford Alpine Gardens
Take a leisurely stroll through one of its many beautiful gardens, hike up the Gore Range or check out its “H20 = Life” exhibit to learn about the water ways that run through the area. Offering family fun for all ages, the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens offers a multimedia experience with its Alpine Wildflower Finder App and searchable plant database.
Participate in The Longevity Project
The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.
Colorado Ski & Snowboard Museum and Hall of Fame
For the outdoorsman feeling indoorsy, the museum is currently offering six different exhibits including a complete history of skiing. The museum, located in the Vail Village Welcome Center parking structure, is completely free (a small donation is encouraged) and offers something for everyone.
Fuzzywig’s Candy Factory
Located in Vail Village, this wacky adventure of a store is certain to satisfy even the biggest sweet tooth. The explosively colorful joint also offers over 400 varieties of candies, in addition to specialty toys.
Offering zip line tours, adventure courses, summer tubing and so much more, Epic Discovery is perched on Vail Mountain in Lionshead Village and requires a gondola ride to the top. Everyone can engage in the fun activities then grab a bite — and a drink — at one of its three restaurants.
