The Sole Power Challenge returns for its seventh season, encouraging people to get outside, get fit and reduce our carbon footprint â while saving money and having fun. Instead of everyday driving to work, the grocery store, etc., participants are encouraged to use themselves as the motor â either by riding bikes, skateboards or anything else but a car, bus or other motorized vehicle. (Trips for recreation don't count.) It's free to sign up at www.solepower.org, and there's over $12,000 worth of prizes to be given away. Anthony Thornton | Daily file photo |
