Sole Power Challenge returns: You are the motor

The Sole Power Challenge returns for its seventh season, encouraging people to get outside, get fit and reduce our carbon footprint — while saving money and having fun. Instead of everyday driving to work, the grocery store, etc., participants are encouraged to use themselves as the motor — either by riding bikes, skateboards or anything else but a car, bus or other motorized vehicle. (Trips for recreation don't count.) It's free to sign up at, and there's over $12,000 worth of prizes to be given away.
