The arrest was Brendlinger’s 12th this year for harassment involving phone calls to Grand Junction’s Regional Communications Center, according to an arrest affidavit.

“Hey, dispatch. You don’t know how much I hate your guts,” Brendlinger allegedly informed a dispatcher shortly after midnight Monday.

The call was recorded and the number returned to Brendlinger’s home, according to the affidavit.

Brendlinger told the deputy he had questions about gun laws ” the deputy told him he’d already heard the 911 recording.

Brendlinger explained he’s upset with dispatchers for “always getting him into legal trouble,” the affidavit said.
