12 injured in bus crash on I-70 near DIA
AURORA — Authorities say 12 people have been injured, two of them critically, after a tour bus and a truck crashed on Interstate 70 in suburban Denver during a wintry weather.
Capt. Wendy Lippman of the Aurora Fire Department says crews are working to cut the driver out of the wrecked bus Friday. There are no immediate details about who was on board the bus or where it was headed.
The crash happened around 8:15 a.m. near E-470 — just past the exit for Denver International Airport — as a storm brought a mix of snow, rain and fog to the Denver area.
