$15 skier parking at Vail Cascade

Daily staff report
Vail, CO Colorado

VAIL, Colorado” Skiers who don’t want to pay $25 to park in Vail, Colorado’s garages, but who also don’t want to take the bus from the town’s free spots now have another option ” the Vail Cascade parking garage.

The hotel, located on the South Frontage Road west of Lionshead, is offering a “day skier special.” For people who arrive at the hotel’s structure from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., the charge is $15 for eight hours of parking. Skiers simply need to get their parking tickets validated by the garage attendant. They can then access the mountain from the Cascade Village Lift (Chair 26), located across the street from the garage.

There are about 150 spots on the structure’s top level for skiers, and parking has yet to fill up, said Alex Hintz, Cascade’s parking garage manager.

“We’ve offered skier parking in the past, but many people don’t know where Cascade is, or that we even have a garage. It’s just something that not too many people know about,” he said.

The regular rate for a full day of parking at the Cascade is $25.
