2 bodies, wreckage of plane found in NW Colo.

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colorado ” Search crews say they have found the bodies of two men and the wreckage of a plane that’s been missing since Sunday in northwest Colorado.

Randall Hannaway of Routt County Search and Rescue says the men are believed to be the pilot, 26-year-old Levi Klapperich of Durango, and his father, 56-year-old Mark Klapperich of Hayden.

Hannaway says the wreckage was found at about 1 p.m. Tuesday about six miles east of Steamboat Springs. It was about 28 miles east of Hayden, where the plane took off bound for Fort Collins.

Hannaway says the plane was badly damaged and there were signs of a fire.
