1. Enjoy an art walk through Vail Village — The free art walk meets at 11 a.m. in the Vail Village Welcome Center on the top level of the parking structure for an hour-long guided tour of Vail Village and the public art collection. After an introduction to the Colorado Ski & Snowboard Museum, the tour winds its way through the village with discussions of the history of the Vail Valley, the founding of Vail Mountain, the master planning of the village and the importance of site-specific art.
2. Test yourself at the Eagle Ranch Classic — The Vail Recreation District’s Mountain Bike Race Series continues tonight with the Eagle Ranch Classic, taking riders up 2nd Gulch and down the Meyer Gulch and Bailey trails. On-site registration is available until 5:30 p.m. To get to the course, take Sylvan Lake Road about 1 mile to Eagle Ranch Road and turn right. Follow Eagle Ranch Road to Fourth of July Road, turn right. Fourth of July road takes you uphill for another mile or so, leading to Arroyo Drive, turn left. The trail head is about a ¼ mile on the right.
