2 Do: Our picks for top activities in the Vail Valley today

A luminaria ceremony takes place at every Relay For Life event. People can make a $10 donation and create a luminaria bag to honor or memorialize a loved one who has had cancer (including pets).

1. Close out Bravo! Vail — Bravo! Vail concludes one of the most distinguished seasons in the organization’s history tonight with an evening of chamber music featuring clarinetist Alexey Gorokholinsky, pianist Anne-Marie McDermott, guitarist James Moore, Le Train Bleu and Calder Quartet. Titled “Baroque Concertos and More,” the season finale concert will include Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 and is scheduled for 6 p.m. tonight at the Vilar Performing Arts Center in Beaver Creek.

2.Participate in the Eagle County Relay for Life Tonight at 9:30 p.m., Eagle Valley High School in Gypsum will host a Luminaria Ceremony as part of the Eagle County Relay for Life. The luminaria are white paper bags that will be illuminated by tea lights to remember those who have lost their lives to cancer, to support people who currently have cancer and to honor people who have fought cancer in the past. They are $10 each with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.
