1. Float the Colorado at RiverFest — The Eagle River Watershed Council’s fifth annual RiverFest event takes place this afternoon. Guided by Timberline Tours and Lakota Guides, the float goes for 4 miles along a scenic stretch of the Upper Colorado, launching at Red Dirt Creek and taking out at the Horse Creek boat ramp at Colorado River Ranch. After the float, the evening’s festivities will kick off at the Colorado River Ranch with live music from Hardscrabble, dinner from Moe’s Original Bar B Que and beer from Bonfire Brewing and Crazy Mountain Brewing. 2. Close out the dance festival — The Vail International Dance Festival comes to a close at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater tonight, bringing the thrill of dance on the small screen to life with spectacular artists from hit shows including “Dancing with the Stars,” “So You Think You Can Dance” and more.
