Most memorable moment from any year: My most memorable moment at VMS was opening Christmas presents with my senior buddy when I was a kindergartener.



Give a shout out: I would like to thank my family and parents, Crissy and Fred, my best friend Emma, my teachers and my coaches.

Where are you headed this fall: I will be attending Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. Waves up!

If you’re leaving Eagle County, what will you miss most: I have appreciated the close sense of community that I have been lucky enough to live in my whole life.

In 10 years, you’ll be: I hope to be working hard at a job that I am passionate about.

Favorite class ever: Globalization, it was very fun and interesting to learn about what is currently happening in the world.

Class you wish had been offered: American Sign Language.

Taylor Hermosillo

Eagle Valley High School

Favorite school moment from any year: When I rode in on a pony and it didn’t go as planned.

Give a shout out: Shout out to the quad super squad, my family and Elvis Presley for inspiring me.

Summer plans: I plan to ball out and adventure with Dom.

Where are you headed this fall: I’m headed to the University of Northern Colorado.

If you’re leaving Eagle County, what will you miss most: I will miss my friends and family, my track team and my homie Tad.

In 10 years you’ll be: Doing what I love, hopefully famous and changing lives. No big deal.

Favorite class ever: Favorite class is AP Lit with Mr. Knight.

Class you wish had been offered: I wish there was a freestyle rapping class.

Noah Hermosillo

Eagle Valley High School

Favorite school moment from any year: Winning state.

Give a shout out: 4×800 team and the smashbros.

Summer plans: Fish, wrestle and work.

Where are you headed this fall: Adams State.

If your leaving eagle county what will you miss most: Friends and the mountains.

In 10 years you’ll be: Fighting in the UFC.

Favorite class ever: Weights.

Class you wish had been offered: Underwater basket weaving.

Vail Christian High School

Favorite school moment from any year: Last day of my senior year

Give a shout out: Thanks, mom and dad. You scare me but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love y’all!

Summer plans: Working and spending time with my friends before they leave for college.

Where are you headed this fall: CU Denver!

If you’re leaving Eagle County, what will you miss most: The beauty and serenity of the mountains.

In 10 years, you’ll be: Working as a juvenile officer, creating/being a part of a nonprofit organization for troubled youth.

Favorite class ever: If it has Mrs. Cooper as a teacher, that’s it. She gives me life. But of course I can’t leave out Dr. Dan’s AP stats class.

Class you wish had been offered: Ethnic/cultural studies and social justice.

Quaid Garton

Battle Mountain High School

Favorite school moment from any year: Graduation.

Give a shout out: “Hi Mom! Hi Dad! I’m in the paper!”

Summer plans: I was going to teach snowboarding in New Zealand, but my ACL had different ideas when it got torn last week. So now I’ll be gimping around here and Wisconsin.

Where are you headed this fall: Taking a gap year, maybe in Australia. Then off to CU.

If you’re leaving Eagle County, what will you miss most: Skiing.

In 10 years, you’ll be: 28 years old. That’s about all I can guarantee.

Class you wish had been offered: Water polo.

Sydney Sappenfield

Vail Mountain School

Favorite school moment from any year: My sophomore year we made it to the soccer state finals. It was my first time making playoffs, and to be able to play in Dick’s Sporting Goods Park was amazing!

Give a shout out: My parents have always been there for me and have been very supportive of the choices I made. I have also had lots of support from all of my teachers and coaches at VMS. Thank you!

Summer plans: I just want to enjoy the mountains and Vail before I start living in the city.

Where are you headed this fall: I will be attending Johns Hopkins University.

If you’re leaving Eagle County, what will you miss most: People here really enjoy living a healthy lifestyle and doing all sorts of outdoor activities. This has made me develop a strong love and appreciation for nature and prioritize time in my day to spend outside.

In 10 years, you’ll be: I hope to be involved in scientific research. I think neuroscience is really interesting and would like to have a job in that field.

Favorite class you took: I loved biology. It was amazing to learn about how the world works on a small scale and how what we see and do in our everyday lives came to be.

Class you wish had been offered: I think it would be useful to teach a life skills class where we learn about how to do things like taxes, basic electrical work, etc., which would be useful for when we are living alone.

Josiah Williams

Red Canyon High School

Favorite school moment from any year: Graduating!

Give a shout out: Friends and family for making me happy and helping me through everything.

Summer plans: Work, have fun.

Where are you headed this fall: Colorado Mountain College.

If you’re leaving Eagle County, what will you miss most: The beauty and the nice people.

If you’re staying, what are you happiest about keeping: The beauty and the nice hiking.

In 10 years you’ll be: In Denver or Los Angeles.

Favorite class ever: Dungeons math class.
