Summer plans: Traveling to Mexico, Cali, Florida and spending time with family and friends before I head out!

If you’re leaving Eagle County, what will you miss most: The small-town feeling and leaving the place I have lived in for 18 years.
In 10 years, you’ll be: It’s all a surprise
Favorite class ever: English or being a teacher’s assistant for the wonderful counseling department at EV.
Class you wish had been offered: How to do real-life things such as how to do taxes and how to adult — you know, useful things.
Garvin van Dernoot
Battle Mountain High School
Favorite school moment from any year: Getting first at States for Speech and Debate
Give a shout out: I’d like to give a shout out to Alexandra Trosper. Thank you for everything.
Summer plans: Hang out with family, go to Nationals for Speech and Debate and go to Oregon.
Where are you headed this fall: Loyola University Chicago.
If you’re leaving Eagle County, what will you miss most: The mountains.
In 10 years, you’ll be: The personal assistant to Bradley Cooper.
Favorite class ever: Eighth grade science with Mr. Rumble.
Class you wish had been offered: Theater.

Summer plans: Senior trip to Las Vegas.
Where are you headed this fall: Johnson and Wales University in Denver.
If you’re leaving Eagle County, what will you miss most: My friends.
In 10, years you’ll be: Working in the fashion industry.
Favorite class ever: Mrs. Aden’s English class.
Class you wish had been offered: Home economics.

Favorite school moment from any year: When administration did the ALS ice bucket challenge with a loader in front of the entire school.
Give a shout out: I want to thank my parents and grandparents for pushing me to be my best and succeed and the rest of my family and friends for their support.
Summer plans: work and spend time with family and friends.
Where are you headed this fall: Colorado Mesa University.
If you’re leaving Eagle County, what will you miss most: The friends I’ve grown up with since kindergarten.
In 10 years, you’ll be: A licensed therapist.
Favorite class ever: Health.
Rose Sandell

Favorite school moment from any year: My sophomore year when my soccer team made it to playoffs for the first time since 1999.
Give a shout out: I want to thank my Mom and Dad for everything they have done for me and the friends who have dealt with me for way too long.
Summer plans: Working and hiking.
Where are you headed this fall: St. Olaf College in Minnesota.
If you’re leaving Eagle County, what will you miss most: The mountains and being able to explore them.
In 10 years, you’ll be: Back in the mountains and protecting the environment.
Favorite class ever: Broadcast media (Eagle Valley Student Media).
Class you wish had been offered: A class to prepare me to pay taxes and apply for jobs.
Tori Mitchell
Red Canyon High School
Favorite school moment from any year: My favorite moment was this sleepover one of my classes had. It was just a bunch of us girls, and my teacher Mrs. Qualman read from her eighth-grade diary.
Give a shout out: My best friend Chloe Sargent and my fiance Julian Goodwin. Thank you both for your amazing support this year. I couldn’t have done it without you guys.
Summer plans: Lots of time outside and finally taking a break.
Where are you headed this fall: Starting a CNA program at CMC in Glenwood Springs and living in Carbondale.
If you’re leaving Eagle County, what will you miss most: The summer concerts.
In 10 years, you’ll be: Hopefully married and loving my awesome career.
Favorite class ever: Anything with Mrs. Beard.
