Natasha Cicchetti

Eagle Valley High School

Favorite school moment from any year: I don't have a favorite moment because there are too many to choose from. There is connecting with the teachers, the pep fest full of pride, there have been senior pranks and so much more.

Give a shout out: Mom, thank you so much for everything you have done. You went from having nothing to having everything you could have ever wanted while raising two kids alone. Thank you so much for everything.

Summer plans: I am moving to Mesa, Arizona, on June 1 and getting a job so I can establish Arizona residency and lower college costs for Arizona State University from $30,000 to $10,000.

Where are you headed this fall: I'm not entirely sure where I'll be going yet. I am researching community colleges and a trade school.

If you're leaving Eagle County, what will you miss most: I will miss the mountains and the beautiful landscape most. Yes, there are mountains in Arizona, but they aren't the same. So I will miss the beautiful outdoors most of all and the beautiful gems of the land only Colorado residents know about.

In 10 years you'll be: I will hopefully be an obstetrics nurse with at least one foster teenager, my own newborn and baby on the way. I hope to own a seven-bedroom house for the big family I hope to have, and I hope to be happy with a family and animals.

Favorite class ever: Woodshop because it's hands on and I had a lot of fun with it. It was easy to connect with the teacher (R.I.P. Garrett LaForce) who was open-minded, letting first-time woodshop students draw and make their own projects that were individualized.

Class you wish had been offered: I wish I was offered a language other than Spanish in an interactive classroom setting. I wish I was offered Italian, German, Dutch or French because that would have made me feel closer to my ancestry. If German were offered, I would have been able to hold a conversation with my grandfather in his native language before he passed away.

Abigail Carlson

Battle Mountain High School

Shout to: 2 Live Crew.

Where are you headed this fall: Black Hills State University in South Dakota.

If you're leaving Eagle County, what will you miss most: My family, friends and the mountains.
