2023 Vail Valley Cup Cindy Eskwith Memorial Tournament will bring over 3,200 athletes and coaches to Eagle County

The 2023 Vail Valley Cup Cindy Eskwith Memorial Tournament will feature 163 teams competing in U10-U15 boys and U10-U19 girls divisions this Saturday and Sunday.

The 2023 Vail Valley Cup Cindy Eskwith Memorial Tournament is expected to bring over 3,200 soccer players and coaches to Eagle County this weekend. On Saturday and Sunday, 163 teams will compete within U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U17 and U19 divisions at fields from Gypsum to Vail Mountain School.

“We are incredibly proud of how this event has grown into one of the most popular youth soccer tournaments in the state,” stated Kerri Thelen, Vail Valley Soccer Club executive director. “This is a destination soccer tournament that supports our local economy, scholarship program and youth programming.”

Teams from across Colorado will participate, including several Vail Valley Soccer Club squads.



Over 3,200 athletes and coaches are expected to participate in this weekend’s Vail Valley Cup Cindy Eskwith Memorial Tournament.

The Vail Valley SC U19 girls ‘Navy’ team kicks off bracket ‘A’ play at 8 a.m. at Battle Mountain High School against Casper SC. The team faces Colorado United ‘Red’ at 11:45 and Denver Kickers Sport Club on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. The gold division championship is at Battle Mountain High School at 2:30 p.m. More information, schedules and results for respective age groups can be found at VailSoccer.com.

The tournament, which has been run since 2000, is made possible by the more than 200 volunteers from local high school soccer program families. All told, Thelen said she expects over 12,000 attendees.

“This is our largest tournament to date,” she said. “Families love coming to the valley during the beautiful fall foliage. We love that our soccer club can support our youth and community in this way.”
