21 more formally charged in downtown Denver attacks
Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey formally charged 21 more people Wednesday in connection with a series of downtown robberies and assaults over the last four months.
The suspects, who are black and alleged gang members, targeted white and Hispanic men, police said last week.
Nine other defendants, charged Tuesday, all appeared in Denver District Court Wednesday.
They are now scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Dec. 23, according to District Attorney Mitch Morrissey.
