CHEYENNE, Wyo. – A Wyoming judge has advanced the cases of three Cheyenne men charged with providing heroin and cocaine that led to the death of a top bull rider.
Twenty-year-old Kyle Walla, 22-year-old Joel Murdoch and 26-year-old Rhett Epler are charged with distributing drugs leading to the Dec. 2 death of 21-year-old Bryan Guthrie, also of Cheyenne.
Guthrie was a highly ranked professional bull rider.
U.S. Magistrate Judge William Beaman on Tuesday ruled that federal prosecutors presented enough evidence to require Walla, Murdoch and Epler to answer the charges in federal court.
A fourth defendant, 35-year-old Christopher Charles Tyson of Cheyenne, was arrested Tuesday in Denver.
