4 at Boulder cheerleading camp get swine flu
BOULDER, Colorado – Four people who attended a cheerleading camp at the University of Colorado in Boulder have confirmed cases of the swine flu.
The four, all from Kansas, stayed and dined in an area hotel during the camp July 7-10.
The camp was sponsored by Memphis, Tenn.-based Universal Cheerleaders Association, which has notified all 251 participants of the virus. University officials say they haven’t been notified of any more flu cases associated with the camp.
Kansas medical officials, working with the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, confirmed the four swine flu cases.
Five students at a summer camp at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley were recently diagnosed with swine flu. And 97 freshman cadets at the Air Force Academy have tested positive for the virus.
