$5 parking back at Vail’s Ford Park
VAIL, Colorado – Ford Park visitors will again have the option of paying $5 to park near the amphitheater during summer events in Vail, Colorado. This parking program begins June 16 for the first Hot Summer Nights concerts.
Close-in parking will be offered for events such as the Hot Summer Nights concert series, Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival, Vail International Dance Festival and the Vail Lacrosse Tournament. Fees will be collected from either 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or 4 to 8 p.m., depending on the day’s event schedule.
A parking attendant will be at the Ford Park lot starting at 7 a.m. on close-in parking days. The attendant will ask anyone looking for all-day parking not related to Ford Park activities use the Vail Village or Lionshead parking garage.
The Vail Village garage will remain free this summer with 10-minute bus service to the park during special events. Event-goers are asked to board an in-town bus at the Covered Bridge stop about an hour before the event begins. For those who prefer to walk from the garage to the park, pedestrian paths provide 10-minute access to the park.
Access for the disabled is via the Vail Valley Drive entrances, both through Manor Vail and the Nature Center bridge path. Also, several handicapped spaces and a monitored drop-off area will be available at Ford Park on the days of events.
