77 pounds of pot seized at Vail Pass
A 22-year-old woman from St. Augustine, Fla., driving a Chevy Blazer was pulled over Friday around 10:15 a.m. near the summit of Vail Pass for a traffic violation, said Sgt. George Dingfelder of the Colorado State Patrol.
The trooper thought she was weaving, Dingfelder said.
While talking to her, the trooper who pulled the young woman over felt she was acting suspicious, Dingfelder said.
The suspected marijuana was found during a search of the woman’s car, he said.
“That’s more than personal use,” Dingfelder said.

Where the woman was going and where she was coming from is still under investigation, Dingfelder said.
The woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of 8 ounces or more of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. She was being held in jail on $50,000 bail.
