A blend of fashion and philanthropy
VAIL Blending marketing and a good cause, W Couture had a grand opening or more aptly named re-opening recently at their new digs on Bridge Street. Whitney Swanson is the fashionista behind W Couture. She loves clothes, and her boutique is full of fabulous, fun clothes for women of all ages. The celebration was held for their loyal customers as well as to introduce locals to their stylish new space. To make room for all of their new items, they donated racks of some stylish and new (but prior seasons) clothing to help out the International Dance Festivals fundraiser, Repeat Performance. The sale helps fund the dance festivals educational and community outreach programs.
Whitneys mission is to help women feel beautiful, said Ramsey Cotter, a sales associate at W Couture.Cotter shared a story of one woman who traveled from Colorado Springs after meeting Whitney in Denver. She loved Whitneys sense of style and wanted to see more. She was really going through a tough time, Cotter said. She was getting a divorce. Whitney completely styled her out. She was in tears she was so happy, saying shes never felt so beautiful. She left feeling like a woman. W Couture carries such chic names as Cris Cashmere, Botkier handbags and Linea Pelle belts. They appeal to the younger set, as well, by offering a discount to high school students. We have Ingwa, Melero, which has a huge celebrity following, and cashmere from Avita, Swanson said. We carry Avita not only for its style but because its recycled cashmere and environmentally conscious.W Couture is open Thursday through Monday during off-season, and will be open daily beginning in November.
