‘A clear Christmas message’ in the Vail Valley

VAIL VALLEY, Colorado – “Calling All Angels,” a Christmas musical being performed by children from The Vail Academy and St. Clare’s Choir, is set for 7 p.m. on Friday night at the Vilar Performing Arts Center in Beaver Creek. It is the story of Michael, the archangel, and how he informs the host of heaven about the birth of Jesus.

Christianna Howell, the Vail Academy music director, chose this musical because it has a clear Christmas message – and because the music is sepcial, she said.

“I thought a Christmas musical would be a wonderful opportunity for the two schools to come together and celebrate the true meaning of Christmas,” she said.

This is the second year of the production.

“I saw last year’s production and all I can say is, you can’t miss it,” said B.T., a radio personality on KSKE. “By far the best holiday production I have ever seen, these kids are awesome.”
