A New Perspective: ‘Trust that you are taken care of’

There once was a man sitting on the roof of his house after a flood took out most of his town. As he sat there, he prayed and prayed to be saved. Along came people in a boat and told him to get in.

“No,” he said. “I’m waiting for God to save me.”

The water continued to rise. Along came a helicopter. The people in the helicopter said, “Get in.”

“No,” said the man. “I’m waiting for God to save me.”

The water rose and the man drowned. When he met God in heaven, the man asked, “Why didn’t you save me?”

God responded, “I tried; I sent you a boat and a helicopter.”

Do you trust that you are taken care of? Do you believe in miracles? How about synchronicity? Do you trust yourself?

When you believe your personality determines what is best for you, you stand in the way of a richness that is waiting for you. If you remove the stops you place on miracles, how do you know what the universe will provide? Let go. Trust.

Let go of your control of everything. Trust that you are taken care of. Believe that you are supported and that you are not alone. Completely let go of how you think things should be or look. Just assume you live in the company of the divine. Relax and live in the present moment. Don’t always try to maneuver tomorrow.

What if there truly are miracles and you are a part of them? The universe does not work the same as humans. You may not understand the workings of the universe, so stop trying to make it work your way. If the events of the universe surprise you, these are miracles. If you enjoy the ride then you are a part of the miracle of the moment.

Things will not always work out the way you want them too and rather than be upset over them, let them go. Trust that things will happen just the way they are supposed to and that you cannot always create the outcome.

Trust allows you to give freely. Have faith in the fact that all you give will be returned triple-fold. If you demonstrate love and compassion to others, love and compassion will be returned to you. If you demonstrate criticism and fear to others, criticism and fear will be returned to you.

Trust allows you to laugh at life. You can choose to live this life in laugher or in tears. You can take it lightly or feel overwhelmed. The evolution of your soul depends on your outlook and commitment to growth and development. You choose either love or fear in every moment.

You can choose to let your soul develop from a conscious choice or an unconscious one. Either way, you will continue to evolve. Choose to be positive in each moment. Choose behaviors that reflect the truth within and trust you are okay just the way you are.

Trust that you are not alone. Trust that the universe works in miraculous ways and let go of the fact that you will never completely understand it. Lighten up and trust the flow of life.
