A New Year’s Eve party to ‘bol’ you over
VAIL, Colorado – Not only can you party like a movie star in Vail this New Year’s Eve, you can party with one. Actress Taryn Manning will host a New Year’s Eve party at bol in Vail. CIROC Vodka and E! Entertainment are pairing up to put on the party, dubbed “CIROC the New Year.” You might not recognize Manning’s name straightaway, but she’s acted in films like “Hustle & Flow,” and “8 Mile” and is currently on the USA television show “Hawaii Five-O” and the FX show “Sons of Anarchy.” “If you saw a photo of her, you’d recognize her,” said Pamela Davis, owner of Bol.The party is one of five such shindigs being held across the country. Sean “Diddy” Combs will host a similar party in Las Vegas; Pete Wentz will host one in Chicago; Kourtney Kardashian in Miami; and a soon-to-be-announced star will host the party in New York City. “Vail’s never really had anything like this, so we’re excited to have it,” Davis said.The parties will be broadcast live on E Entertainment, Davis said. People can enter for a chance to co-host the party by submitting a two-minute video online at http://www.eonline.com in hopes of winning “the ultimate CIROC New Year’s Eve Weekend,” according to the website. The contest ends on Dec. 3. “It’s your chance to become a special E! New Year’s Eve honorary correspondent at one of the smoothest and coolest celeb-hosted parties across the country!” according to the website. “Upload a video telling us or showing us why you should be celebrating with some of the hottest stars in pop-culture and giving us the low down on all the cool happenings from the star-studded celebrations.”The party will start at 9 p.m. Tickets for the evening, which are on sale now, run $250 per person and will include cocktails, appetizers, and a “parting gift,” Davis said. VIP tables will also be available for for $400 on top of the ticket price.”The VIP table will come with a bottle of CIROC, a bottle of Moet (Champagne), your own server and bottle service,” she said. An extra $600 will get you VIP bowling, with two lanes for up to 12 people, unlimited bowling (and shoes) from 9 p.m. to midnight, a bottle of CIROC, a bottle of Moet and your own server, Davis said. There will be free luxury transportation provided by MPG Express that night to ensure attendees get home safely. “I hope it brings some people to town who normally wouldn’t have spent New Year’s here,” Davis said. “I think Vail is stepping it up this year. And we’re definitely reaching out to a different crowd then we used to. We’re bringing back the young crowd.”
