Adam’s Mountain near Eagle hires new head pro

EAGLE — Adam’s Mountain Country Club has announced the hiring of John McIntyre as head golf professional.

McIntyre entered the Vail Valley golf community in 1995 after graduating from the University of Colorado-Boulder. He joined the Club at Cordillera staff during its first full year of operation. Over the past 18 years he has worked for some of the most recognized golf professionals in the state, including Pentti Tofferi , Tom Apple, Andy Benson, Brock Sloan, John Kuzina, and most recently Pete Roach.

In 2012, Borders Golf Group LLC hired McIntyre as director of golf for TPC Cancun in Cancun, Mexico. TPC Cancun is the first TPC facility located outside the United States.



McIntyre attended high school in Toledo, Ohio, but if asked where he grew up will tell you, “all over the country.” He has lived in Ohio, Michigan, Nebraska, California, Florida, Washington, D.C., Colorado, and Arizona.

He holds a political science degree from the University of Colorado-Boulder, a Juris Doctorate from the University of San Francisco, and is a PGA of America-certified Class A golf professional.
