The Town of Avon will offer free Tipsy Taxi service for those dining and celebrating in Avon on Sunday, Dec. 31, 2006 from 9 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.To access this free New Years Eve taxi service call (970) 470-0722. The band Hustle will be playing at the Rumpus Room in Edwards on New Years Eve. Known for their great renditions of Phish, Dead and Panic tunes, Hustle is one of the best new local bands around. Doors open at 9 p.m. and $40 gets you in the door (cover charge includes all you can eat and drink). Loaded Joes and VailPM are sponsoring a Masquerade Ball for New Years. At $15, the cover is one of the most reasonable in town. DJ Adam Ross and Jayson Collins will provide the atmospheric beats for the evening. A complimentary Champagne toast will take place at midnight and there will be drink specials throughout the evening. Organizers of the event suspect tickets will sell out.
