EAGLE — Survive!, a local youth support organization, is hosting an after-homecoming party for Eagle Valley High School students at The Back Bowl in Eagle on Saturday.
Survive! is partnering with Eagle Valley High School’s Devils Against Destructive Decisions for the event.
The idea is to offer students an event that’s affordable, fun and safe, said Devin Effinger with Survive!.
Last year’s inaugural event attracted 253 students to Eagle’s Back Bowl.
Donated door prizes are given out every 15 minutes, encouraging students to stick around. The grand prize is a 2015 snowboard, donated by Weston snowboards.
Survive!, a local nonprofit organization, promotes strong, safe communities through support, education and opportunity.
Eagle police and Eagle County Sherriff’s deputies will be quietly hanging around.
Last year, no local law enforcement agencies reported any criminal activity involving juveniles. No arrests or complaints were made, Effinger said.
“Everyone in attendance arrived home safely. Mission accomplished,” Effinger said.
