Airport project may stretch security lines

Daily staff report
Vail, CO Colorado

GYPSUM, Colorado – The Eagle County Regional Airport has started a new construction project that expand the terminal security checkpoint. This 60-day project has been designed to expand the checkpoint from two to four full lanes. When finished in November, this will decrease wait times in the security lane.

During the construction period, the security checkpoint will be operating with one lane only, and guests may experience longer wait times than normal. Passengers are encouraged to schedule their arrival at the airport at least one hour (or, ideally, 90 minutes) before their flights.
