Interstate 70 reopens between Silverthorne and Eisenhower-Johnson Memorial Tunnels

3:20 p.m.: All lanes on Interstate 70 are open between Silverthorne and the tunnels. The traction law is in effect and icy conditions are being reported.
2:30 p.m.: All lanes of Interstate 70 are closed in both directions between Exit 216 for Loveland Pass and Exit 205 in Silverthorne.
Multiple crashes have been reported throughout a snowstorm that began around 11 a.m. and is expected to last until 4 p.m., according to National Weather Service reports.
The traction law is in effect. Commercial vehicles must use chains or traction devices and passenger vehicles must have snow tires or chains and/or four-wheel drive with all-season tires.

2:24 p.m.: I-70 eastbound is currently closed completely between Exit 205 in Silverthorne and the exit for Loveland Pass east of the Eisenhower-Johnson Memorial Tunnels. The closure is in effect due to safety concerns.
U.S. Highway 6 over Loveland Pass remains open.

2:08 p.m.: Two right lanes are closed on I-70 eastbound between Silverthorne and the Loveland Pass exit due to a crash. A right lane is closed on westbound I-70 due to safety concerns.
2 p.m.: The rightmost lane of Interstate 70 westbound is closed due to safety concerns following a full closure around 12:53 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20.
There is a large patch of ice on the westbound lanes of I-70 a few miles east of Exit 205 near Silverthorne. Multiple cars and vehicles crashed on I-70 in the eastbound direction while descending the Continental Divide near Georgetown.
Snow showers are likely up until 4 p.m., according to National Weather Service reports. Roads are icy and snow covered in some spots.
1 p.m.: The westbound lanes of Interstate 70 shut down around 12:53 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, due to safety concerns, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
The closure stretches from Exit 216, Loveland Pass, and Exit 205, Silverthorne.
