Alpine Bank supports book drive
GLENWOOD SPRINGS — Throughout April, all Alpine Bank locations will accept donations of new and gently used children’s books, appropriate for ages from birth through eight years old, in support of the Colorado Business Reads book drive. All donated books will be distributed to local kids in May through doctor’s offices, schools, libraries and childcare centers.
National Volunteer Week
Additionally, Alpine Bank has once again committed itself to participation in National Volunteer week, April 6 to 12. The bank has long supported and encouraged staff to be involved in their communities and provides each employee with 24 hours of paid volunteer time per year. Alpine’s goal for National Volunteer Week this year is to achieve 100 percent employee participation throughout the week via the many volunteer opportunities available in the communities it serves.
“For more than 41 years, one of Alpine Bank’s core values has been community,” said Tom Kenning, chief operations officer. “It is simply part of who we are to participate in both National Volunteer Week and Colorado Business Reads in order to help improve the quality of the communities we serve.”
