Alzheimer’s Association offering classes

EAGLE ” The Alzheimer’s Association of Denver in partnership with Eagle County Adult Services will be conducting two classes designed for family members and friends of someone with Alzheimer’s Disease.
“Partnering with Your Doctor” will focus on enhancing one’s communication with their healthcare providers, and making the most of those relationships. “Safety Issues” will provide a brief overview of dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease, explaining behaviors associated with the disease and how these behaviors impact the safety of the person with the disease.
The presenter for the day’s events will be Patricia Holley, Family Services Director at the Denver Alzheimer’s Association.
Both classes will be held on Friday, April 27, 2007 at the Golden Eagle Community Center in Eagle.
“Partnering with Your Doctor” will be held from 10 a.m. until noon.
Participate in The Longevity Project
The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.
“Safety Issues” will be held from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.
