The A&E department received a plethora of entries for the Vail Daily’s Oscar contest. Three people managed to snag a whopping eight out of eight correct guesses.
Based on the tie-breaker question, the dinner for two to Chaps plus two movie tickets go to Carolyn Piper, who voted for wine and cheese, very particular weaknesses of mine. Dionne Drugan and last year’s winner, Steve Hodge, were also eight for eight. Drugan wanted frozen yogurt and wine, while Hodge simply wanted Izze, a natural sparkling fruit juice that comes from Boulder. They’ll also receive two movie tickets apiece.
Based on responses to the tie-breaking question, Vail wants Dove Bars covered in dark chocolate, beef jerky, nachos, tacos, trail mix and cotton candy. And though it only received one vote, perhaps the best idea came from Judy Countryman, who wants mini barbecue sandwiches from Moe’s in Lionshead. That’s ‘Bama style.
