Community leaders to examine issues facing kids
EAGLE — The Eagle County Schools Board of Education and Eagle County Board of Commissioners will examine health and education issues facing local children in a joint meeting Wednesday in Eagle. The Colorado Children’s Campaign will present statewide and county-specific data on child well-being from its 2014 Kids Count in Colorado! report.
The annual Kids Count report provides statewide and county-by-county data on a range of factors impacting child health, education and overall well-being. The goal of the Kids Count report is to provide a clearer picture of how kids across Colorado — and locally — are faring and to provide local leaders and those interested in improving the lives of kids with the county-specific data and analysis they need to better serve children.
The event is at the Eagle County Schools Board Room, 757 East Third St. in Eagle at 3:30 p.m.
