Cut and Slice golf event is Monday at Beaver Creek
AVON — Beaver Creek Resort Company has selected Can Do Multiple Sclerosis, for the third year in a row, as the beneficiary of its annual Cut & Slice Golf Event, presented by US Bank. The event will be held on Monday at the Beaver Creek Golf Club from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Golfers will enjoy barbecue and craft beers from Crazy Mountain Brewery and Breckenridge Brewery during their round of golf. Tickets are $125 per person and include greens fees, a golf cart, practice balls, a gift and barbecue and beer on the course. Proceeds from the event will be donated to Can Do MS’s lifestyle empowerment programs for people living with MS and their support partners.
Golfers can win amazing prizes for the longest drive, closest to the pin and a hole-in-one challenge. Can Do MS will also host a raffle during the awards party at The Rendezvous Club. Participants can purchase tickets to win a variety of prizes including sporting goods, lodging packages, Vilar event tickets and more. Raffle tickets will be available before, during and after the golf event for $5 or $20 for five tickets.
ADAPTIVE GOLF FOR PEOPLE WITH MS
New this year, Can Do MS and the Beaver Creek Golf Club will host an adaptive golf experience, sponsored by Teva Neuroscience. Individuals living with MS and their support partner will golf with a PGA professional and physical therapist to learn adaptive techniques.
“We are honored to be selected as the beneficiary for the 2014 Cut and Slice Golf Event for the third year in a row. Beaver Creek’s support validates all the hard work we’re doing in our community to raise awareness of MS and to provide programs and education to people living with MS. Adding an adaptive golf experience allows us to demonstrate how our philosophy of staying active can be realized with the proper tools and instruction,” said Heidi A. Heltzel, president and CEO of Can Do MS.
Reservations can be made by calling the Beaver Creek Golf Club at 970-754-6212, emailing email@example.com or purchasing tickets online at http://www.beaver creek.com/bbb.
