ENGLEWOOD — Destination Hotels, the largest operator of independent hotels, resorts and residences in North America, will assume management of the Christiania Lodge and its vacation rental portfolio.

Purchased in 1976 by Paul and Sally Johnston, the Christiania Lodge is an authentic Bavarian-styled property and features 22 rooms and suites, as well as 37 privately-owned condominium residences.

“We are excited to expand our vacation residences portfolio with a continued focus in the Colorado resort market,” said Steve Santomo, senior vice president of Destination Rental Management. “We look forward to applying our successful approach to vacation rental and property management solutions that will ultimately build owner financial and brand equity and provide long-term growth for Christiania.”

INTIMATE SETTING

The Christiania is near Vail’s Gondola One and just steps away from Vail Village’s restaurants and shopping. Each lodge accommodation offers an intimate European setting, and the various condominium residences offer between two and seven bedrooms, many with balconies, fireplaces, mountain views and convenient ski-lift access.

Guests receive complimentary access to the world renowned Vail Vitality Center and Athletic Club, a 50,000-square-foot fitness center offering holistic healing services, human performance testing, yoga, Pilates, outdoor fitness and group fitness classes.
