Upcoming events

• Wednesday: Poker game at the Golden Eagle Senior Center, 1 p.m. No sign up necessary. All are welcome to join.

• Friday: Book Lover’s Coffee Klatch at the Golden Eagle, 10:30 a.m. Coffee and snacks will be provided. Come share your love of books and different genres with other book lovers.

• Friday: Lunch & Learn: Cindy from the Hearing Aid Office in Glenwood Springs will be here to answer questions. She will also address itching ears, ear wax and ringing in the ears. Maloit Park Senior Wellness Center, 11 a.m. If you are interested in staying for lunch at 11:30 a.m., call 970-328-8831 to sign up.

• Friday: Strong People progressive weight training class will begin at Maloit Park Senior Wellness Center, 10 a.m.

• Parkinson’s Foundations exercise class, 3:30 p.m., Trinity Church, Edwards. Focuses on strength, balance and flexibility. Exercises are enhanced to include cognition, vocal therapy, and fun. Not just for those with Parkinson’s — this class is beneficial for anyone who would like to improve balance, flexibility and strength.

Tuesdays

• Senior lunch, Golden Eagle Senior Center, noon. $3 suggested donation. Rides available. Call 970-328-8896 for reservations. Home delivered meals also available. Call 970-328-8896.

• Non-medical foot care (toenail trimming and foot soaks), Golden Eagle Senior Center, third Tuesday of month, 9 to 12. Call 970-328-8896.

• Transportation for errands (post office, bill pay, prescription pick-ups, etc.). Bus leaves Golden Eagle Senior at 2 p.m. Call 970-328-8896.

• Joint Relief Water Class, Avon Recreation Center, 10 to 11 a.m. $2. Call 970-328-8831.

• Senior lunch, Maloit Park Senior Wellness Center, 11:30 a.m. $2. Rides available to senior lunch and grocery shopping afterwards. Home delivered meals available for home-bound seniors age 60 and older. For additional details on this program, call 970-328-8831.

• Chair yoga, Maloit Park Senior Wellness Center, 11 a.m. Free.

• Grocery shopping, bus leaves Maloit Park Senior Wellness Center at 12:30 p.m.

• Nordic Walking. Be ready to go by 10 a.m. All levels welcome.
