Upcoming events

• Today: Blood pressure checks at the Golden Eagle Senior Center, 11:30 a.m. No sign up necessary.

• Today: Non-medical foot care (toenail trimming and foot soaks). 9 a.m. at the Golden Eagle Senior Center. No sign ups necessary. Please allow 30 minutes to an hour for this.

• Wednesday: Poker game at the Golden Eagle Senior Center, 1 p.m.

• Wednesday: Guided snowshoeing at Maloit Park Senior Wellness Center, 10am. Snowshoes are provided. Bring ski poles if you have them. Call Pat at 970-328-8831.

• Senior lunch, noon, Golden Eagle Senior Center, $3 suggested donation. Rides available. Call 970-328-8896.

• Seated stretch and strengthen exercise class, 11 a.m. to noon, Golden Eagle Senior Center. Some limited cardiovascular work. Suggested donation of $2 per class. Call 970-328-8896.

• Parkinson Support Group, held the fourth Thursday of every month at Trinity Church in Edwards from 5 to 6 p.m. This meeting is for Parkinson patients as well as their family and friends who are looking for support and resources in a fun and uplifting atmosphere. Most meetings include some type of educational presentation.

Fridays

• Senior lunch, 11:30 a.m. at VSSA/Maloit Park Senior Wellness Center, $2 fee per meal for those 60 or older. Home pick-ups and drop-offs are available, depending on location. Call 970-328-8831 for reservations.
