Girl PowHER fashion show hits the runway March 27

VAIL — The Vail Valley will be in full fashion on March 27, as the Vail Valley Foundation’s Youth Foundation hosts the Girl PowHER Fashion Show and Luncheon at the Marriott Mountain Resort and Spa in Vail.

Presented by Amanda Precourt and Nex Gen Hyperbaric, the event starts at 11 a.m. with mingling and a silent auction before moving on to lunch and the fashion show at noon. The event, showcasing fashions from Vail and Denver retailers, will benefit the Youth Foundation’s Girl PowHER program, a gender-specific initiative serving hundreds of adolescent girls, grades six-12, throughout Eagle County.

Tickets are priced at $100 apiece, with table sponsorships starting at $2,000. For additional information and to purchase tickets, visit http://www.theyouthfoundation.org or call 970-777-2015. Valet parking will be at a discounted rate of $15 per vehicle.

“I want this spring fashion show to set an example of the power and beauty of the feminine in all forms,” Precourt said. “We have models ranging in age from 22 to 70 from all over the valley. It will be a great fundraiser and will set an example for Girl PowHER participants about what being a strong, independent woman is really about.”

The mission of Girl PowHER is to empower young women mentally, emotionally and physically in order to prevent high school drop-outs and ensure each girl reaches her full potential in life.
