EAGLE — The Greater Eagle Fire Protection District is re-examining its organizational structure, and on Tuesday residents will have the opportunity to give their opinions regarding the organization.
According to Elizabeth M. Aviles, the district has contracted with Emergency Service Consulting International to conduct a study. She said the work will follow the SWOT — strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats — model.
“Basically it looks at how we are currently operating and where we can improve,” Aviles said. Additionally, she noted the study will examine the district’s existing relations with other emergency services operations within the county.
As part of the overall examination, local residents are invited to attend a town hall session to provide their opinions regarding the fire district’s operations, economics and the policy issues it faces.

The district will host the session Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Eagle Fire Station.
“This town hall is a great opportunity for constituents to engage in a dialogue with ESCI as we look for their opinions of the district,” Aviles said. “We strongly encourage anyone who may have comments, questions or concerns to attend.”
