AVON — The Community Leadership Academy is a course for individuals working in government positions, nonprofits and the private sector who want to enhance their leadership capabilities and connect with like-minded professionals in Eagle County. Programs begin in January and meet once a month for seven months. The Vail Centre is offering information and lunch on Monday from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Vail Centre's BaseCamp in Avon for the 2017 leadership programs. At this information session, you will learn about the course and available scholarships.

"This course demonstrated that your ethics are your personal brand whether you realize it or not. When you look inside and align your work with your values you get more satisfaction out of work and it makes life more meaningful," said Leah Cribari, laboratory supervisor for Eagle County River Water & Sanitation District.

"The course affected me in a profound way and provided me with applicable tools for the journey through life not just my career," said Gregg Barrie, senior landscape architect, town of Vail.

This certificate course helps participants develop strong values-based leadership skills, create a broad network of confidants, as well as build trust and consistency between Eagle County businesses and agencies. This unique environment also presents the opportunity for participants to learn about the practical application of the skills and strategies through roundtable discussions and group collaboration. Limited to 20 participants, early enrollment is recommended. Please RSVP to angelo@vailcentre.org or 970-680-3525. The location is at 82 E. Beaver Creek Blvd., Suite 200, in Avon.
