Kip Tingle hired as Vail Rec District’s new race coordinator

VAIL — The Vail Recreation District recently announced the hiring of Kip Tingle to the Sports Department. Tingle moved to Vail in 2004 and has worked for the Vail Daily in many capacities for the past 10 years, most recently as sales manager.
As sports coordinator for the Vail Recreation District, Tingle's responsibilities will include race director for the La Sportiva Vail Mountain Trail Running Race Series, managing adult recreation leagues and developing skills and promoting sportsmanship in the youth programs.

Originally from Ohio, in 2014 Tingle led a successful Sole Power campaign promoting self-sufficient commuting in Eagle County. He also owns and operates VailVelo.com, a site dedicated to improving cycling awareness in the area. For Tingle, working for the Vail Recreation District is a dream come true. "It's truly an honor to work closely with athletes in the Vail area and provide opportunities for friendly competition."
