Local restaurant group welcomes new partner to the fold, Suleiman Holdings
December 13, 2016
EAGLE COUNTY — Founded by Brian Nolan in 1995, Blue Moose Pizza was created to offer a family-friendly atmosphere in the ski resort community. After celebrating the 20th anniversary of Blue Moose Pizza last year, GROUP970, the restaurant group that includes Blue Moose, the company is welcoming a new partner to the business.
Suleiman Holdings, a Nebraska-based private investment company with investments across a range of businesses, joined the GROUP970 team recently. The transaction represents Suleiman Holdings' first foray into Colorado, pushing the holding company's national reach across three time zones.
"For us, the decision to join Brian, Sarah and the rest of their team was simple. Blue Moose Pizza is a family favorite in the Vail Valley and the GROUP970 team has decades of management and operations success that we look forward to building upon," Mark Suleiman said.
Considering All Options
Although ski resorts are a natural progression for Blue Moose Pizza, the partners are considering all options that offer a good fit for the family friendly pizzeria as well as additional expansion opportunities outside of the current concept.
"The exciting part of this new partnership is that there really are no limits to where the path of growth could take us. With our operational background and Suleiman's national business experience, the opportunities are endless and I truly look forward to seeing where the adventure takes us next," Nolan said.

"It is wonderful to pair with another company that understands the importance of our community to our business. We wouldn't have celebrated 20 years in the Vail Valley if it weren't for our great partners, supporters and guests. That isn't lost on Suleiman Holdings," said Sarah Franke, GROUP970 president.
