Malen Yantis Public Relations earns industry awards

VAIL — Kristin Yantis, principal of Malen Yantis Public Relations, announced that the firm recently was awarded three prestigious awards for its work on the Vail summer account. Yantis also took home an individual accolade from the Colorado Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.

The firm earned three gold awards in the annual Hermes Creative Awards for its work on behalf of the Vail Local Marketing District Advisory Council. MYPR was recognized for its work on “America’s Best Summer Job” in the Website Element/Games, Contests, Presentation category; the “One Perfect Day in Vail” media placement in Sunset magazine in the Magazine Placement category; and “The 7 Best Hikes in Vail” media placement on Yahoo! Travel in the Online Placement category.

“It’s a great honor to be recognized for our work promoting Vail as a summer destination,” Yantis said. “We live, work and play in this community, so it’s exciting to be acknowledged for the hard work we’ve put into the account.”



There were more 6,000 entries from throughout the United States, Canada and several other countries in the Hermes Creative Awards 2015 competition. Entries came from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production companies and freelancers.

Hermes Creative Awards is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. The international organization consists of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, media production and freelance professionals. The Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals oversees awards and recognition programs, provides judges and rewards outstanding achievement and service to the profession.



Yantis also was recognized as Mentor of the Year during the annual PRSA Gold Pick Awards in Denver honoring public relations professionals throughout Colorado. Her nomination for the accolade described her as a “professional, kind, thoughtful leader who sets an excellent example for her team.”
