Menorah workshop to take place on Sunday in Avon

Daily staff report

AVON — What child doesn’t love the holiday of Hanukkah? Lighting the menorah candelabra, eating lots of chocolate gelt and playing endless games of dreidel are just some of everyones favorite Hanukkah activities. This year, Chabad Jewish Center of Vail will partner with Home Depot to offer a pre-Hanukkah menorah workshop at Home Depot in Avon on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Participants will receive a free worker’s apron and craft their own unique menorah from supplies available at Home Depot. There will also be holiday music and refreshments. Parents must accompany children younger than 4, and the event is free.
