EAGLE COUNTY — Public Access TV 5 now offers viewers another opportunity to stay in touch with local government and watch other community events.

The station recently began remotely broadcasting Vail and Avon town council meetings live, as they happen, on Channel 5. For show times, visit http://www.publicaccess5.org.

In addition, all PATV5 programming that is cablecast on Channel 5 now will be simultaneously webcast on its website. This new feature makes Channel 5 available to people who subscribe to satellite services or who live down valley and outside the station’s cablecast area.

Viewers also may watch much of PATV5’s programming on demand and in high definition, also on the station’s website. To stay abreast of new videos that are available online, like PATV5 on Facebook at facebook.com/publicaccesstv5.

PATV5 is the valley’s community access television station. It provides video coverage of several government entities, offers unique programming such as The Community Project, Battle Mountain High School football and provides free video training to residents, nonprofits and students so they can produce video and have it air on Channel 5 and the Web.
