Rec district forum is March 24
VAIL — This year’s Vail Parks and Recreation District Board of Directors candidate forum will be held March 24 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the Vail Town Council Chambers. Candidates will answer a series of questions from a moderator and field questions from a live audience. Five candidates are running for the two available board seats.
The public is encouraged to attend and will be invited to submit questions at the event.
The election, set for May 3, will be conducted as a polling place election. The polling place, located in The Grand View Room on the third floor of the Lionshead Welcome Center, 395 E. Lionshead Circle in Vail, will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m..
Absentee voting requests are now being accepted. An application for absentee ballot can be downloaded by going to http://www.vail rec.com/elections or may be requested at the district administration office at 700 S. Frontage Road E. in Vail. The final day to file an absentee ballot application is April 29.
