Tait joins Literacy Project staff
AVON — Dwaine Tait has joined The Literacy Project staff and will coordinate efforts to provide literacy education to Eagle County adults and youth. Literacy Project Board Member and Eagle Valley Library District Collection Development Librarian, Amy Gornikiewicz said, “Dwaine is a natural fit for The Literacy Project, where his skills in education and counseling will ensure each individual receives the personal attention he or she requires. Dwaine demonstrates a desire to positively affect the lives of others. I know he will be an asset to The Literacy Project as well as the community at large.”
Recently relocated to the Vail Valley with his family, Tait has lived in California, Hawaii, New Zealand, Switzerland and most recently Vermont. He earned a masters degree from Argosy University, Honolulu, Hawaii in 2002 and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Hawaii in 1997. His most recent employer was the Stratton Mountain School, where he served as sports psychology teacher as well as other duties including health and wellness adviser, student council, social studies and media technology teacher.
