EDWARDS — Vail Christian Academy recently announced the hiring of four new educators for the 2015-16 school year. Offering kindergarten through eighth grade, the school has added Suzanne Johnson for physical education and the expanding O2 Outdoor Education program; Karla Smith for third grade; Allison Hansen for fourth grade; and Kristen Hubler for fifth grade.
"We are thrilled to welcome this incredible group to our Vail Christian family," said Beth Raitt, head of school. "Bringing Suzanne on staff to lead O2 Outdoor Education will evolve a program that is incomparable in our community. For our classrooms, Karla, Allison and Kristen bring great teaching experience and energy, along with their love of God and kids. "
Johnson moved to the Vail Valley six years ago from Jackson, Missouri. She graduated from Southeast Missouri State University, majoring in K-12 physical education.
