Vail makes appointments to town’s volunteer boards
VAIL — The Vail Town Council recently made several appointments to two of its volunteer boards.
The town had three seats available on the Commission on Special Events, which reviews new and existing event proposals, and provides town funding to help those events.
New commission members are Kim Newbury Rediker, Mark Christie and Sheena Richardson. Richardson was reappointed to a position on the board.
The council also appointed former Vail Town Council member Ludwig Kurz to a seat on the Vail Planning and Environmental Commission. That board reviews and approves development applications submitted in town. That post runs until March 2016. If Kurz wants a full term, he must reapply.

There are three keys to look at when deciding the bonus days: staffing, skier excitement and conditions.
