Annual GOP event is Jan. 21 in Vail

VAIL, Colorado – The Eagle County Republicans will hold their annual fundraising event, the Lincoln Day Dinner, Jan. 21 at the Vail Golf Club.

Ryan Call, chairman of the Colorado Republican Party, will talk about the current political climate in the state of Colorado and give an overview on the upcoming 2012 elections.

Call was elected Colorado Republican state chairman in March. He was born in Denver, and received his B.A. and M.B.A. from the University of Colorado and his J.D. from the University of Denver.

He is an attorney with the Denver law firm of Hale Westfall, LLP.

In addition to his work at the state party, over the past eight years Ryan has served as a precinct committeeperson, and most recently as the chairman of the Denver Republican Party. Ryan also served as the state party’s legal counsel from 2006 to 2011. He worked for two sessions as a legislative aide in the Colorado General Assembly and served as a member of the Colorado Secretary of State’s Advisory Panels on Election Law and Campaign Finance and Lobbyist Regulation, and the Colorado Lawyer’s Committee Election Law Task Force.

The Eagle County Republican Party Central Committee sponsors this event but all members of the public are invited to attend.

As the election cycle heats up, here are some other important dates to keep in mind: Feb. 7, Republican caucus; March 24, Republican County assembly; April 13, Republican multi district assemblies; April 14, Republican convention; June 26, Primary elections; Nov. 6, Election Day.
