RED CLIFF — The Igloo Party will be hosted at Mango’s Mountain Grill in Red Cliff today. Proceeds for the party will support The Kevin Pearce Fund, whose mission is to support organizations that enrich and enhance the lives of families and individuals affected by brain injury, Down syndrome and other related challenges.
Igloo Party history
The Igloo Party was started in Vail in 1999. In a backyard in East Vail, igloos were constructed by hand with the intent of hosting the local community and generally having a blast. During the years, the event grew in popularity, picking up live entertainment, local sponsors and a growing following amongst the community.
In 2014, co-founders and Vail residents Brian Morrell and Nick Kettinger decided they needed to leverage this popularity to support a greater good. They sought out charities close to their hearts, eventually partnering with world champion snowboarder Kevin Pearce and The Kevin Pearce Fund.

Since partnering with the fund, The Igloo Party has received incredible support from businesses in the local community, including Mango’s Mountain Grill, which has signed on to host the event within its outdoor space. On March 27, Spiegel Construction brought in truckloads of snow to take the party to the next level. Entrance to the event costs $15 and includes one draft beer. A raffle will include merchandise from local businesses, as well as autographed merchandise from world champion snowboarders.
